We’re the only place you won’t mind bumper to bumper traffic!
Northeastern Ohio’s contribution to aviation is also showcased in the Crawford Museum. Northeast Ohio has played a vital part in the development of aviation, with one of the largest and busiest airports in the world throughout the 1920s and 1930s, and the legendary National Air Races held for 20 innovative years on the shores of Lake Erie. The Crawford holds a dozen historically significant airplanes that preserve inspiring evidence of mankind's universal dream of flight.
The Crawford Collection of historic vehicles was donated to the Western Reserve Historical Society in 1963. Prior to that, the collection was privately owned by TRW, Inc. and was housed in the Thompson Products Auto Album. Since the donation of the original Collection the Crawford Auto Aviation Museum has grown to include approximately 150 vehicles and airplane. Our dynamic collection is enhanced with an outstanding documentation of auto and aviation history.
